Risk disclaimer

Please read this before you use GoldAlly. It explains what our content is, what it is not, and the risks of trading gold. By using GoldAlly you accept it.
1. Information, not advice
GoldAlly provides market information, data and analysis about gold for general information and education. Nothing on GoldAlly is investment advice, investment marketing, a recommendation, or an offer or invitation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
Our content is the same for every member. It is written without knowing your financial situation, goals, experience or tolerance for risk, and it does not take them into account. Before you make a financial decision, consider whether it suits you, and where needed consult an adviser licensed to advise you.
2. The bias and the short-term lean
The long-term bias is our reading of where the main forces point gold over the coming months; the short-term lean, of where the latest changes point over the next few weeks. Both are general readings of the balance of evidence, not trade signals:
- They give no entry, target, stop or position size, and they do not tell you to buy, sell or hold anything.
- They are written by artificial intelligence from data, under rules we set, and can be wrong. Readings are wrong at times, and losing stretches of several weeks happen.
- They can change at any time, without notice, as the facts change. A neutral reading means we see no clear case either way.
- The price can move against a reading, sharply and for long periods, before or without it playing out.
3. The risks of trading gold
Gold prices can rise and fall quickly and by large amounts, including on news outside trading hours. In particular:
- Leverage. Leveraged products such as CFDs, futures, options and margin accounts multiply both gains and losses. A small move against you can wipe out your deposit, and with some products you can lose more than you put in.
- Gaps and slippage. Prices can jump between one trade and the next, for example over a weekend or on a release, so orders such as stops may be filled at a worse price than set.
- Costs. Spreads, commissions and overnight financing reduce returns, and over time can turn a gain into a loss.
- Currency. Gold is priced in US dollars. If your account is in another currency, exchange-rate moves add to your gains or losses.
Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
4. Past results do not predict future results
Any past reading, track record, research or back-test we show describes the past. Results tested on past data are hypothetical: they did not involve real money, can be shaped by choices made after the data was seen, and leave out costs and real trading conditions. Neither past nor tested results promise future results.
5. Content written by artificial intelligence
Much of GoldAlly's content, including the bias, summaries of news and speeches, and explanations, is written or assisted by artificial intelligence. It can contain errors, omissions or outdated statements. Check what matters to you against the original sources.
6. Data
Our data comes from third parties, including public agencies and data providers. It can be delayed, revised, incomplete or wrong, and prices shown may not be the prices at which you can trade. GoldAlly is not a trading platform and does not execute orders.
7. Your decisions
You alone are responsible for your trading and investment decisions and their results. To the extent permitted by law, GoldAlly is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, its content.
